I have been his patient for a very long time. He is very warm, reassuring and has done a lot of work on my mouth. Crowns have lasted for years. After he retired, I was afraid to see a new dentist. But once I gathered my confidence, I returned to have his daughter Andrea Lee work on me. She is just as wonderful as Dr. Lee was. The office atmosphere is very welcoming with Momi or Audrey (Dr. Lee's wife) at the reception counter. They truly make you feel the ohana there. I have moved to the mainland but intend to return for services. They are committed to the patients well being and very accomodating.
About Front Desk: Exceptional staff. They'll work with your insurance in trying to keep costs to a minimum. They try extra hard to accomodate scheduling appointments with you. They really go out of their way in providing excellent service.
About Hygienist: Very gentle, and reassuring to your needs. Works well with Dr. and patient.

If you want a beautiful smile, don't go here. My smile was better before I let this man work on my mouth. I regret falling for his advertisement.

Dr Lee is a extremely kind warm hearted dentist who really cares about the pain his patients feel. He does not want his patients to be scared of and tries his best to make the patient feel at ease. He conversates with you well he works.There is really almost no pain at all and if you feel pain he will try a different tatic. To say the least he is a excellent dentist and I'd refer him to anyone who is looking for a good dentist

Dr. Lee is an amazing dentist, not only with his work but also with his caring personality. It is not an intimidating experience to be there, but one that is truly warm and you can tell he really does care about you and your health. He is very personable and makes you feel right at ease.

If it is routine care, he probably is not for you. Procedures he does a wonderful job and appears very caring. Not very impressed with his routine care.

I am usually not into writing reviews about anything but since a dentistry is a
health-related issue, I thought i would share my great experience with people who take the time to do research before choosing the dentists.
The facility was clean and the staff was friendly and prompt.
More than anything, I'm happy with the result (root canal).
The procedure was stress-free and very relaxing.
The office is located in a nice building and has a parking.
Don't forget to get the parking ticket stamped!

I have been a patient of Dr. LEE for over ten years, primarily due to his advertising his services as "pain free." Over the years, for the most part, he has honored his claim. Dr. Lee makes every attempt to make me as comfortable as possible as Ihe realizes I am one of many who does not relish dentist visits. I find the sound of the dentists drill worse than fingernails dragging on a chalkboard and even the slightest pain causes me to pull away from him. So, it's easy to see why I sought out a "pain free dentist and my returning to him year after year is a testament to his abilities. HIs prices are far less than the dentists my wife and children go to, but they opted for the newer offices, the latest equipment and the young good-looking staff. I just want good, inexpensive, painless work and that's what I get.

My first time at Dr. Lee's office was great. Front Desk girls were very friendly and helpful, office was nice and clean, and Dr. Lee caring and very informative. I had a root canal and was very scared, but I finished PAIN-FREE! I couldn't believe it! Also great was that i saw my bill before the procedure started.

Dr. Melvin Lee is the best dentist in the Honolulu area! He specializes in pain free dentistry and upholds to that promise! He has a warm bedside matter and makes you feel at ease and comfortable, even on your first visit. You don't feel pressured to get any procedure done, but you are informed of your choices and YOU pick accordgingly. It's a relatively small office, but Dr. Lee is constantly busy with patients--many people love him and are loyal to his services.
I got a root canal and a crown put in and there was absolutely no pain at all--Dr. Lee makes sure you are numbed very well before proceeding. The esthetics of the crown are great and I have no problems! He has many years of experience, so the procedure was done relatively quickly and without any discomfort.
For the quality work Dr. Lee does, it is very reasonably priced--in fact, when I went to the mainland, i was shocked that the same procedures are double in price than what he charges.
The front desk girls are very helpful and informative about insurance and financial plans. You can tell that Dr. Lee is trustworthy and honest.
While no one loves to go to the dentist, Dr. Lee is the best dentist in Hawaii and no one should be afraid anymore! No pain!
