The best dentist in the city of Chicago. Best work, including root canals and crowns. Painless. Could actually fall asleep in chair. I suffer from insomnia, and wish I could just come and sit in those rooms!!! Very personable, yet professional.
Excellent staff at the front desk too. Very rarely is my last name pronounced right, and they always get it.
About Hygienist: I saw two over the course of time I was there and they were both excellent.. Spent time and explained thing to me that I had not understood. Like "You brush your teeth and take care of them well, however you may be brushing too hard." I always thought the harder the better. Good advice for me.

Dr. Emalfarb is the finest dentist I've ever known. Before I found him, I had a terrible experience that kept me away from the dentist chair for years. I met with him and found him to be patient and kind and he is most gentle. Lucky to have found him. I now go every 6 month like a big girl should.

Excellent dentist with kind bedside manor and great staff. Ideal for the regular check-ups, as well as larger projects like crowns. Explains everything, offers options, and takes a fairly conservative approach to treatment. I recommend him & his practice highly.

Dr. Emalfarb is a wold-class professional who sets proper expectations of the anticipated results of his work.
Dr. Emalfarb and his staff are friendly and work closely with each patient to identify what the patient is trying to achieve and commits to timeframes and procedures to help each patient achieve those goals.
I continue to recommnend Dr. Emalfarb and his staff to friends, colleagues and family. I recommend Dr. Emalfarb because his treatments are long lasting and he never takes short-cuts.

I have used Dr. Emalfarb and the other dentists who work in the practice and would feel confident in recommending all of them. What sets this practice above others is how good their front staff is, they are very friendly and helpful. Plus they usually run ontime and being an impatient person this is very important to me.

First review I have written. I have been going to Dr. Emalfarb since he first opened on Belmont about 10 years ago. He is very professional and highly skilled and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist in the Chicagoland area. Having grown up here I have been to quite a few dentists and this is the first one that I have recommended to anyone. I was actually just looking for his phone number and saw this review site and decided to add my 2 cents. Good luck.

He is the only dentist I will see. There came a time I had to go out of network to see him and he worked with me. After a nightmare on Halsted street. Drilling with no novicane.

I have been going to Dr. Emalfarb since he started his own practice - about 15 years! When I lived in Chicago I would recommend everyone to him. I still travel over 2 hours from Michigan to go to him - he's the best! He's very kind - a great chairside manner and very trust worthy. The waiting room may not make the cover of Architectural Digest, but who cares? I'm there for my mouth health, not for a Trading Spaces makeover! Although the staff has grown and changed over the years, they are always very considerate and welcoming to me. Makes going to the dentist a joy!

I have had the worst dentists out there, including one who cut away my gums without novocain or warning. I found Dr. Emalfarb through a friend and I could not be more pleased. My root canal and crown experience was phenomenal. The crown actually looks like it was there since childhood and the entire process was pain free. He is focused on treating patients with care and respect and I hope that he outlives me because I have found my dentist for life!!!
