Very poor dentistry jobs she performs. She's always in a rush, leaves u sitting and waiting a hours for her to come and do a rush job on your teeth. All my teeth are damage for her bad root canals she did. They brake off and it's not more she say she can do for you.
About Front Desk: Front desk ladies are nice.

Duration: Every root canal she did on my teeth they break and now my teeth are missing....she is not a good dentist, very crowded, and she's always in a rush.

I had one check-up and two crowns done. Seems that Dr.Shahin is very knowledgeable, but the final result is not up to par. The first crown was kind of an emergency, so after she installed it, I felt one of the corners was higher and bothered me, but i thought with time it will even out. Well, it didn't and a few months later I had to have another crown (I am still not convinced that the tooth couldn't be treated only with a filling). I tried to find another dentist, but it would've taken almost 2 months before the new one could see me, so I decided to give her another chance.
The procedure itself was fast and painless (thanks to the anesthetic), but than I had to wait for 3 weeks with a temp. It broke off little before the end of the 3rd week, so I had to schedule an emergency visit. Even today, 3 weeks after the procedure, I can feel with the tip of my tongue the gap between the gum and the edge of the crown (it shouldn't be that big) and still have pain biting on that tooth. I've had quite a few crowns installed before and those two are ranked in the bottom. When she worked, all was fast, rushed & with sense of urgency and stress.
This is my experience, you make your own conclusions. Needless to say, I am not going back there

Dr Shahin is an amazing woman. I became a huge fan of her on my first visit years ago.. haven't gone to anyone else. She is caring, compassionate and makes everyone feel like they are part of her family. I no longer dread going to the dentist. I highy recommend her to anyone who is seeking a new dentist.

I was pleasantly surprised when I met Dr. Shahin. Though she has only cleaned my teeth and taken x-rays, I feel very comfortable and confident in her abilities. All of the staff were extremely nice and efficient. Next up: root canal.

Great dentist - Dr. Shahin made sure to give me the best deal on my cleaning, and I was shocked at how inexpensive it was! She is incredibly pleasant and I did not have to wait long at all to see her, even though I arrived early. I was in and out, and all in all walked away very impressed. She will be my dentist as long as I am in Chicago.

Dr Shahin is the absolute best dentist in Chicago. She is extremely personable and still uber professional. I have major dentist anxiety but her excellent chair-side manner and obvious confidence in her work easily put me at ease!! I don't have insurance, not only was her staff super helpful with payment options, Dr Shahin's price scale was so affordable, I left feeling like I got the deal of a lifetime!!! If you're looking to find a competent, compassionate dentist and staff, look no further than Andersonville Family Dental!!

Great dentist- would recommend to all of my friends. Shahin makes you feel very at ease throught out the process. I enjoyed being in her office and her staff was friendly and courteous.

I agree with the first review- very efficient; also a nice person. Staff is good as well. She kept me informed the entire time what she was doing, letting me know that what she was about to do may hurt a little, etc, etc. She listened, and never pushed for any unnecessary work, etc. I recommend her to anyone.
