Dr Ahern was my dentist for 5 years, never had problems with appointments for teeth cleaning etc. After switching to beverly shore smile dentist, I realize that Dr. Ahern was better than those guys. I am planning to switch back with a PPO plan.

I was treated badly by Dr.Ahern.He told me after my first visit that he could send my file somewhere else.He insulted me.I left the office in tears.When measuring my gums, Dr.Ahern hurt me I told him this,his response was I have to do this to all your teeth.He stopped. I wasn't given any oral anethestic to help.My treatment was not explained to me.I was given referrals for what I do not know.My fears were of no concern.

A few years ago I went to see Dr. Ahern for what I thought was only a sore spot underneath my denture. Dr. Ahern not only saw me the same day, but when he did take a look at my mouth, he immediately recommended that I see an oral surgeon.
Dr. Ahern immediately took the time himself to call an oral surgeon for me to ensure that I'd be seen as soon as possible and not only did I get right in to see the surgeon, but I was diagnosed with oral cancer! I would NEVER have thought that this could be possible! One cannot imagine the feeling I had when the oral surgeon presented me with my diagnosis.
I am happy to report that I am 'cancer-free' and I owe it all to
Dr. Ahern for his thorough assessment of me. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Ahern's for many years now and are happy and thankful to report that there is no other dentist for us!

Dr. Ahren is OK, could be more personable. I didn't feel like he was really interested in my overall dental well being; just did the prescribed treatment and offered no advice or preventive tips. Hygienists are friendlier. The front desk receptionist was only friendly after payment of services.

Dr. Ahern is okay. He is not very personable though. He gets you in and out quickly. I'm not sure if he really spends enough time with each patient though. The reception is not very nice either. The dental hygenist are outgoing and friendly. Not great, but not terrible either.
