I had a root canal. I am very anxious about dental treatment, however, due to a previous root canal with Dr. Hancock a few ago I was somewhat less fearful. When Dr. Hancock radiates calm professionalism and competence. One immediately feels in good hands and comfortable. It may sound odd, but the root canal is almost like a relaxing time. Dr. Hancock uses glasses through which one can view a movie which is a very effective way of taking the brain away from the procedure and it works! Enjoyed the movie, felt no pain and no discomfort to speak of after the procedure. I wish I had know Dr. Hancock on so many occasions in the past. I believe that he is truly an outstanding master surgeon.
About Front Desk: Excellent, efficient and friendly.

Gives equate brand ibprofin and acetaminophen after root canal or apicoectomy thats it. He doesn't give you anything stronger for the pain... which is irresponsible being alot of times patients have alot of pain after surgery.

I was very anxious about my root canal, but Dr. Hancock and his staff were very comforting and concerned with making me comfortable. He is very quiet but very informative and did a great job of explaining the procedure to me. The whole experience was much less painful then a cavity filing. I would definitely use him again.

Dr. Hancock did a great job on my root canal. He answered all my questions, has a very calming manner, great staff, and these cool glasses that let you watch a movie while your root canal is being performed. Root canals are no fun, but if you need one, Dr. Hancock is a terrific choice.

Dr. Hancock is very quiet, but he is very careful and detailed. You can watch a movie while he works. He was careful not to garuntee me a successful procedure. At first I thought that meant he was not optimistic, but the success rate on the "retreats" is not 100% and I think he just didn't want to give me any false promises. The #11 was all total about $1250 and the #13 was $1350. I was impressed with his attention to detail, and with how clean his office was. Believe it or not there was a cheaper guy in the neighborhood but he had mold on the windows in the room where the procedure was to be peformed. I decided to pay a little more for clean facilities and am glad I did. I have confidence that if the one year check up isn't good it is not due to the quality of the work, but the degradation of the tooth that doomed it. Everything looks good at this point though, and I appreciated Dr. Hancock's work.

I had a root canal done in Dr. Hancock's office back in March. I consider myself a "high fear" dental patient but not under Dr. Hancock's care. My root canal was painless! I just sat back, relaxed and watched a movie during the entire procedure! I kept thanking him afterwards. I wish I could have him as my general dentist.

Had my first, and hopefully last, root canal in January 2008. Virtually no pain during or after. I've had cleanings and fillings that even though moderate regarding pain were much 'worse' than this. Very happy with what appears to be the quality of procedure as well as the overall service. Definitely would use Dr Hancock again if needed.
