Receptionist (Diane) said that they would work with my Self-Insured Dental Services Plan. So, I decided to get root canal done since my dentist referred me to Dr. Chassen. After treatment I find out they want full payment ($1495 - an additional $150 of what I already paid). So much for "working with my plan". I was a fool for trusting those words and thinking that I would get a reasonable fee/bill. Next time Diane, just say "we don't take your plan". It would have saved me a lot of money. They then tried to give me a measly $200 discount on the second root canal that I needed to get done. Fat chance! Plus Dr. Chassen did not ask me if I pre-medicated (which I must do since I have a prosthetic) and did not tell me to take antibiotics after the root canal which is customary. BTW: my second root canal was done for only $400 by Dr. Brownstein who fully explained in detail the reason for the root canal and made sure I was on antibiotics as a precaution.

Went for a simple one canal root treatment. took 10 minutes to drill, returned for 2nd visit and it took him just 10 minutes to clean out the root canal and sent me to my dentist to have it sealed. 3 months later started to feel pulsing under the tooth. went back again and he advised that I had a cyst and would need surgery to clean it out. I paid $1400 for the first procedure and he wanted to charge me another $600 for the surgery. If he had done the proper procedure the first time I would not have this problem. I will never refer to anyone and I am done with him and going to another endodontist.
