I saw Dr. Endzweig today for the first time being unsure of whether or not a newly crowned tooth (giving me a problem just since the crown was put on) needed root canal work or not. He took time to figure out what was going on with the tooth and ultimately asked me if he could call and speak with my dentist since the dentist made the crown. He called him and then came back and explained to me several things that may be going on with the tooth, one of which is that there was a high point on the crown interfering with my bite. He drilled it down and did many maneuvers to check the bite each time. He took time, drew me pictures and gave explanations in layman's English. What he did may or may not be the answer but he is trying it before deciding to do a root canal job on me. I totally appreciated his gentle manner, his intelligent way of speaking to me and his care in diagnosing what the problem may be. I am to call him in five days to let him know if it is any better. If it is not better, I may well need root canal work; but again, I appreciate his caring and careful manner. I wish he also did regular dentistry!!!! I recommend him highly as a professional and an honorable human being .
