Dr. Kase saved my tooth!
My tooth was a tough case but fortunately Dr. Kase was tougher!!!!
I had a root canal that required perseverance...I am not sure other doctors would of stuck with me and gone the extra mile Dr. Kase did to save me from either dental surgery or loosing my tooth. It took multiple visits and it was stressful, because of the situation (Dr. Kase kept me posted on the pros and cons as he worked) but not at all painful or uncomfortable; he is brilliant when it comes to injecting Novocain.
I am happy and grateful for the way Dr. Kase took care of me and my tooth.

May I preface this with the fact that I have always been a "basket-case" when going to the dentist. For most of my adult life I have only felt comfortable going to a friend (whom I have known since I was about 5). A couple of weeks ago I went to the dentist to find I needed two root canals -- my friend sent me to Dr. Kase -- a friend he has known for 25 years -- and swore that he was "good". "Good" doesn't even get close -- he was great and so was the staff..and believe me when I tell you I am a nervous wreck at merely the thought of going to any dentist, much less an endodontist. He took his time to make sure I was comfortable and numb before he started. I have very good dental insurance so the cost was mostly covered -- I can't say it was "pain-free", but it was the "best darn root canal" (if there is such a thing) I ever experienced! I told him upfront I was a basket-case and he truly put me at ease. Even a TV in the exam room -- now they just have to come up with a silent drill. I would recommend Dr. Kase to anyone -- especially those who are "phobic" about dental visits. He is my endodontist from know on.

Family dentists always marvel at my beautiful, expert root canals by Dr. Doug Kase--all provided virtually painfree, including one performed on an emergency basis, with resort to nitrous oxide (totally unnecessary when you're in such expert hands). He has performed about 7 root canals for me, I've lost count actually! (I have chronic dental problems) and I would never go anywhere else for this treatment. Even his injections are virtually painfree, he knows how to do this right. At this office endodonics is a first-class experience: highly efficient and responsive. Dr. Kase accepts insurance also, so check your policy. And he's a good photographer, you'll enjoy his wall hangings! Written by a grateful K. Harby.

didn't work for me. I also had three root canals done; two months later I still had pain. Dr. Kase told me he had no idea where the pain was coming from. Tried to sell me another root canal next to the three that were already done but finally agreed to re-do one that he had already done and gave me an appointment for five weeks later! (he was too booked up to fit me in sooner... also, he constantly goes on vacation... 1 week every six weeks). Dr Kase is part of a large endodontic practice; if one doctor does work on you and you have pain any day of the week, another doctor can see you. BUT, when I inquired about this Dr Kase got angry and said, "I did the work on you, I am the only doctor here that can see or treat you!". Before my scheduled appointment for the root canal re-do (five weeks away), I saw another dentist. He found a tooth that need was causing referential pain; it was not near the root canals already done by Dr. Kase. He took care of that tooth and my problems were solved. Find another endodontist.

I can't believe I'm the first to review Dr. Kase on this site. He is a marvelous endodontist. I have had three root canals done by Dr. Kase, and I recommend him to all my friends who ask for references. He works deftly and efficiently and appears to hold himself to the highest of professional standards. He takes pride in his work, and he should. Two of the root canals he performed on me were "fixes" of other dentists' root canals. Dr. Kase is expensive, but I would have saved money had I gone to him in the first place, in those two cases. It's been years since my last root canal with Dr. Kase, and I have had zero problems with any of the root canals he performed.
