The final outcome of my crown and replacement fillings was great and he uses the best methods to make sure that you will not have a bad reaction to the materials he uses. If you have to replace old silver fillings he is the only dentist in New Orleans area to use the correct procedures to protect the patient from the toxic mercury vapor that is released. The negative is that his assistant accidentally sucked my uvula (the dangly thing in your throat) into the suction tube! Not just once, but twice in the same visit. This was very painfull and it was swollen for over 1 week making it difficult to swallow. When I asked at a later time to see the dentist alone in order to complain and have the swelling checked, they ignored my request and the assistant stood there while I complained. Dr. Scott did not seem to care at all that this had happened. He did not offer any apology or discount to my bill. The bill also ended up larger than expected even though they had done a pre-qualification on the insurance coverage.
