I have been going to Dr. Nager for 16 years. I am extremely dento-phobic, have a lot of problems with my teeth, and have problems getting numb. He always is totally concerned about my comfort level and works hard to get me sufficiently numb for the procedure. I love Dr. Nager so much that even though I now live 1 1/2 hours away in Western Ma, I STILL come to him for my dental work. Dr. Nager often sings to me, talks to me in a fake but very good Irish brogue, and generally does everything he can to make me relaxed. He is also an awesome dentist, and has saved my teeth! I am almost 50, came to him with ALOT of problems, and I STILL have ALL my own teeth!

My hygienist, Michelle, is very friendly, helpful, and competent. I don't see Dr Nager much--mostly seems he'd rather look at my xrays than at me. He did do a couple of fillings and a crown which turned out pretty well. More than the usual share of insurance hassles, though.

Dr. Nager is a very good dentist. His office is very well run. The hygienists are excellent. He has been excellent managing pain during procedures. Good manner with patients, good humored.
I have a difficult mouth to deal with and I had problems with the quality of his work. A front tooth implant angles forward , has scarred my front lip and does not mesh well with lower tooth. He has not gotten my bite to close well.

Had rootcanal and gold crown done. ACTO all followup dentists since, root canal (3 braches) was incorrectly done (not deep enough into the roots, much too shallow), OTOH crown was much too high (affecting my byte) and primitively shaped (almost flat surface, not grooved), very expensive overall (he claimed he is worth it because he is so much better than others etc.), made me feel very uncomfortable by continued indirect references related to my ethnic background/nationality (not directed directly at me personally, but there was obviously a major issue with him; I felt trapped to stay until treatment was complete), 2 years later the crown falls off.
However, he was accomodating regarding request regarding composition of "gold" alloy used, seemed competent in his mechanical skills. In the beginning he told me that he recommends the tooth to be pulled, but I wanted to save it. When I left after treatment was complete, he told me the crown would not stay on for long and he'll see me back there...
He was rigt that it would fall off, but I have no desire to see him again,. Two other dentists told me that I should have the root canal re-done at his cost.

We have been going to Dr. Nager for over 15 years. He and his staff are wonderful, highly skilled, and highly recognized for their achievements. He brings a bright sense of humor to what could otherwise be a dreary experience. When he did my root canal, my comment was, "I've got to tell my friends to have one of these" - it literally went that well.

Very personable and likeable, with a lovely office staff.
For a filling or two, if you are an easy patient, he'll be just fine.
Unfortunately not careful enough and in too much of a hurry to
do root canals. A piece of advice: if a general dentist
wants to do the root canals himself instead of sending a patient
to an endodontist, that dentist cares more about money than
patients. An exception is if the dentist has new laser endo gear,
which makes the process easier for a non-specialist.
I lost two teeth because he screwed up root canals.
