I feel being very lucky to be the patient of Dr. Faris. I have experienced with a # of dentists before @ different states within U.S. and overseas.
Dr. Faris explains what is going on and keep the patient perfectly informed. The patient is aware of problem & solution, and has a clear idea due to the concise explanation Dr. Faris provides. She is a great teacher!!
With Dr. Faris I went through a number of surgeries focusing on Crown Lengthening during NOV 2009-MAY 2012. Dr. Faris followed up regularly after each surgery on a 3 months basis. She was accessible via TXT if needed. I have been taught by Dr. Faris best practices in keeping a healthy gum and avoiding periodontal diseases. I have finally learned flossing and it's value only after the education I received at the hands of Dr. Faris.
Dr. Faris is very passionate about her job. She enjoys listening to the patient concerns, and knows exactly how to address all issues at hand. Even though I have never asked for it, she has on a some occasions given me courtesy discounts!!
Dr. Faris seamlessly extracted a Wisdom teeth of mine. It was a teeth other dentists in before warned me of how difficult it is to extract.
It was really a great honor being Dr. Faris' patient!!

Dr. Faris was sympathetic to my overall lack of funds to pay out-of-pocket for my tooth extraction. She was always available, and had a great bedside manner. I completely trusted her expertise, and she was comprehensive when talking to me about all my options, my ability to pay, and my overall oral health. I absolutely recommend her!

Dr. Faris has performed several procedures on me and each time I am surprised at just how amazingly painless the procedures were. She performed root canals and gum lengthening surgeries. She was professional, caring and superbly accomodating to ensure that my comfort was paramount during the procedures. She is extremely knowledgable as supported by her top credentials but she explains each step in the procedure so that a layperson can understand the physiology behind each action. Her exemplaray adroitness is only matched by her wonderful bedside manner. This is the best dentist I have ever been to. I would give her my highest recommendation.

Dr. Faris recently performed a gum grafting procedure for me. I was anxious about the procedure before hand, but she gave me a Rx for valium to take the night/day before. Before she gave me the novocain, she applied a topical anesthetic, and I could barely feel the first shot -- I didn't feel the other 2 or 3 at all. Once I was all numb, she began the procedure and, although I could feel her hand resting on my lip and some tapping/pressure, it really didn't feel any different than getting your teeth cleaned. There was music playing, which also helped take my mind off the surgery. Afterwards, she applied a "pac" and gave me an Rx for vicodine, in case I wanted some for night time. I honestly did not have any pain for the first 2-3 days, although Dr. Faris called to check on me twice. When I woke up with pain on day 4, I called her and she had me swing by the office so she could check up herself.
Although the recovery has been uncomfortable, on a whole it has not been painful. And, while I'm not looking forward to repeating the procedure in the rest of my mouth, I am not at all anxious about it, and will not hesitate to have Dr. Faris perform the rest of my surgeries.
