Dr. Lozado has created a lovely relaxing environment at his clinic. The facilities are very new, state of the art and very clean. His parents (both retired dentists) assist him, and together they provide a very welcoming and friendly environment. This, together with Dr. Lozado's manner, made for a fairly relaxing experience. I had 12 fillings replaced over two visits, so spent 4-5 hrs in the chair each time. He constantly checked in with me, made me feel at ease and I felt encouraged to let him know if anything was uncomfortable. My pain for such long procedures was definitely as minimal as possible. And in fact, I was so relaxed I fell asleep in the chair for periods of time as he put in the fillings! Now that says a lot!
About Hygienist: Dr. Lozado did the cleaning himself, and was very thorough and gentle, and as he did with all procedures, explained everything along the way.

I don't have much to compare him too, as I've had little periodontal treatment before and find it all much too expensive, but he has a very friendly, sensitive manner, appears to be completely upfront, and seems to be quite competent, and doesn't cause any pain. He is doing periodontal work for me which is not lasting as long as I wished (I seem to need it every few years) but I think it may be because my gums are in such poor shape rather than any lack in his skills. I do not easily find dentists I like (I dread them all!) but he's one of the best I've encountered.
