I've never felt more uncomfortable in a Dr's office than I did here. VERY rude and unprofessional behavior. Seems like the Dr. and the assistant butt heads often and in front of patients. I could go on and on about the issues I've had here but I won't. I will note, however, that it's been 5 months and counting since Dr Avant's office manager said she would call me back. Guess it's hard to keep up when she only works on Tuesdays in the evenings. No excuses for this reoccurring lack of professionalism. Would not recommend.

During my root canal, the assistant did not suction properly, and my I began to choke on all the water in my throat. I felt like I was drowning! Dr Avant told me I was having a "panic attack". Later, when I told my sister , who is a dental assistant ,what happened she confirmed that I did not have a panic attack, but that the assistant should have been more careful. No apologies, or even acknowledgement of her mistake. Also, my jaw throbbed painfully for 2 months.

My dentist could not perform a root canal because the canals calcified. Dr. Avant has a microscope instrument and was able to locate the two roots that needed treatment. She continually informed me as to what she was doing. Upon completion she informed me of possible after effects and subscribed pain medication.
I was totally impressed. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs serious dental treatment.

My experience with Dr. Avant and her consistent staff has been both professional and always conclusive. Dr. Avant’s knowledge of her specialties is obvious. She is a wondrous diagonistician. By far a kind and caring person along with her accomplished team. I have had several root canals and an implant placed by Dr. Avant in the most proficient and comforting atmosphere. A genuine genius in my eyes. All worked performed without a pang of pain by an ace doctor! Always a call and a follow-up. A staff of concerned, compassionate people. I have met some wonderful, trusting “savants” (people of deep wisdom, learning) and friends.
About Front Desk: Impeccable by far. I believe cost is extremely fair. In my eyes, I would pay whatever necessary for a dentists such as Dr. Avant. My dental history insists that I seek the absolute best in the field.

I would recommend Dr.Avant to anyone who wanted a pain free visit. I had a root canel done. The treatment was a success and my insurance covered the costs.
The office staff was very friendly and called the next day to check on me. I have a surgery scheduled in Jan with Dr. Avant. I have put off for about 5 years. I never felt I had a denist that could do the surgeryuntil I talked with Dr.Avant.

I had a tooth that was bugging me and no one could figure out and she was able to tell what the problem was and fix it all in the same day. They were straight up as far as the costs and I paid more for my last one just down the street. So it wasn't a bargain, but it was definitely worth it. Nice office too, friendly and with all kinds of bells and whistles. My wife needs a root canal too and has been putting it off, but she will be going to Dr Avant now.

I was over charged,and made to pay in full in advance. It was very expensive. I was not given all the information I needed about my surgery. Customer service was poor. My husband who was there to pick me up after surgery was treated rudely. Mistakes were made and not corrected. Extra charges were added to my bill. I do not trust this dentist. I would not tell anyone to go there.
