He recommended that all 4 wisdom teeth come out because ONE had a cavity. TOTALLY UNNECESSARY. I questioned him about the use of MERCURY amalgam fillings and how they are POISON and he laughed at me. He actually wanted to take out the composite fillings I had received from another dentist office and replace them with the mercury fillings. He has been trying to drill holes in my teeth since I walked in his door. Finally after realizing that this is the way dentists handle their business, I stopped accepting his recommendations and just went there for cleanings. The hygienist Kathy does a much better job than him. Don't get me wrong, I like Dr. Carmichael but he's uninformed and brainwashed just like 99% of medical professionals out there and I think he exaggerates problems to make more money! PLEASE IF YOU READ THIS REVIEW, take your responsibility for your mouth and do your own research. Those metal fillings are loaded with MERCURY. The dentists aren't allowed to touch the metal when on their table but it's OK to put that in your mouth... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?

Super friendly staff. Efficient and thorough work. Appointments are on time. Office can be hard to find in its basement location.

Dr. Carmichael has been super over the years that i have been seeing him. I admit that i do not see him as often as i should but when i do he always makes me feel at ease and we all know how important that is to anyone that has to see a dentist. I take medication that effects my gums when i went for a cleaning my gums where bleeding so much that he could not clean my teeth, i figured that i would now need extensive work done and i started to see $$$ signs,but the doctor gave me a perscription to get filled and 2 week later my condition had changed to a point that the Doctor was now able to do the work he needed to do.
I would highly recommend Dr. Carmichael to any one of my friends.
