I took my 6 year old son who is terrified of the dentist to Dr. Abdoney. My son always cries, but I had been here several times before with no issues. This time, Dr Abdoney told my son that he had a 2 year old that did not cry like he was. He then told my son that if he did not stop crying, he would send him to the hospital and put a needle in his arm for an i.v. He proceeded to tell my son that he would then put him to sleep to clean his teeth! My son was not pitching a fit, but crying! I was then told that if my son acted that way the next time, "Do not come back with him" and wait in the waiting room instead. The doctor was harsh and downright cruel to my son and myself. You do not use humiliation, bullying and threats to motivate a child. The doctor just snapped!
