Read Reviews for Dr. Lewis Hootnick
I have been a patient of Dr. Hootnick for many years. Proud to going to see Dr. Hootnick, I was under the care of another dentist and I was in constant pain. I could not sleep! I made an appointment with Dr. Hootnick because the other dentist was not addressing my issue concerning my pain and after one visit with Dr. Hootnick he identified my issues and presented a treatment plan , which eliminated my pain. I wasted 2 years going to the other dentist. Dr. Hootnick is a perfectionist and professional. His Dental Assistant, Kerry, Hygienist, Amanda and Administrative Assistant, Erica are oustanding. Always willing to help their clients.
About Front Desk: Administrative Staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, especially Erica.

I have been going to the same Dental place as it was close to my house and I was new to the Massachusetts area.
I always had an issue with Dr. Hootnick being late all the time and not acknowledging the fact it is wrong and unprofessional.
The last thing that happened today and the reason I am looking for a new place, is that I had my appointment at 8:30, dr. hootnick walked in to the office at 9am, relaxed and without any concerns he didnt even apologize. Started his day as any other day and I was ignored and left in the waiting room. The staffed was not nice about it and just told me "it is what it is" he has a long drive. I find this unacceptable.
He should respect mine and all patients time. If you schedule appointments at 8:30am you should be there, especially if I had called and made a point that I needed to be back to work.
About Hygienist: awesome! Lauren is great always on time, nice, knowledgable and friendly!

First I want to establish myself as an experienced dental patient. I have been seenby about 15 dentists in 45 years. I have had good and bad work. I have 6 crowns, 4 root canals, many fillings, had braces on the the tops as a kid and then on the bottoms as an adult.
After having problems with two crowns falling off next to each other in 6 months, I was very upset with Dental Associates of Quincy where I'd been going for almost 20 years, (interspersed with other dentist and dental specialists). Upset, I wanted to see their best guy there (read negative comments about Dr. Woolfe).
Dr. Lewis Hootnick was the first to talk to me like a knowledgeable, intelligent person. He is the head guy there now and I think he cares dearly about his reputation which translates into doing good work. I think he will treat me better than any other dentist I have seen in the past. He said he would make things right.
If you go to Dental Associates in Quincy, I would recommend you see only him. I will keep posting to see how this works out.
We need to be our own advocates for good dental care, do the research, check the credentials and complain when things aren't right. Bad dental work can cost more money by hurting your other teeth.
