Dr. Anthony Koury has been my dentist since I was a child.
My family moved, I went somewhere closer and the new dentist tried to have me spend a lot of money unnecessarily for work I did not need.
I, then, went to Dr. Koury and he showed me my X-Rays, assured me that I did not need all that work-he was still my dentist up until retirement. He has a nice, easy manner and a peaceful office. (He even has the famous "treasure chest" for children to choose a toy) If there is a PERFECT DENTIST, it would be Dr. Anthony Koury...

Dr. Anthony was my family dentist , and he put in 12 crowns for me over a 30+ year period.
I always felt I had good care, but recently changed to a new dental practice, because of new dental insurance. This new practice is large and exceptionally high tech, with a top notch dental staff -- some of whom are clinical professors at top Boston area dental schools. Now that I've seen the "state of the art" in a dental practice, I realize that Dr Koury's small practice is very low tech -- which in my case translated into 11 of the 12 crowns needing to be replaced this year, two of them after as little as 8 years. The new dentist showed me in detail why each of the old crowns failed (gaps in margins mostly).
Seeing how the new dentist sweated the preparation on the new crowns, and had the technology to examine and work on teeth and gums in virtually microscopic detail, both before and after the procedures, I now see the difference between state-of-the art dentistry and a practice that is ... well ... just quite a bit behind -- still analog while the rest of the world has moved on to digital, so to speak. The staff is good and his hygienists are top notch. The quality of Dr Koury's work simply didn't stand up over time in my case.
