I wish I could say that Emami is a good dentist, but I'd be lying. He is patronizing in his demeanor - especially if you're a woman. (Unless he thinks you're attractive, and then he gets kind of creepy.)
He also did not do a very good job cleaning my teeth ... I had another dentist remove stains in ONE CLEANING that Emami could not successfully remove over a period of YEARS. (I had initially assumed that the stains simply could not come out!!) The only reason I stayed with him beyond the first few visits were because I had been a patient of the prior owner of the practice.
The rest of the staff is great ... his assistants and hygienists (and from what I've heard, the other doctor that works there) are all wonderful and very sweet, but Emami is arrogant and dismissive to the point of being downright rude if you question him or his opinions in any way or if you complain that you're having a problem with any work that he did on you.

I was very disappointed in the overall quality of Emami's work. He was also in dealing with my insurer selected options for me were not covered despite his assurances.
The following year I ended up having to visit another dentist to have one of his procedures reversed, which cost me a great deal of pain and money.
Throughout the entire process Emami shifted back and forth between authoritarian and abrasive, and I regret that I ever visited his office. I am now aware of many complaints against him, and wish I too had been warned.

Dr. Emami and his team of doctor at Dental Specialties was tremendous at dealing with my dental condition. The best part of all is that all my dental needs were taken care of at one location. No referrals, everything done in one place. Finally, a place that took care of all my dental needs, why didn't anyone think of this sooner. Thanks Dr. Emami for everything!
