Read Reviews for Dr. Paul Talmo
Paul has been my dentist forever, and though his daughter Kate is now working with him, I hope he NEVER retires. He's the perfect dentist--gentle, conservative, superb. Kate was the top of her class at Tufts, and I'm so happy she's joined her dad. This is a true family practice, one to treasure.
About Front Desk: John is wonderful, and the magazines are first rate, if waiting. Beautiful office, in a private tudor style building worth, in my case, traveling a long distance.

I have been Dr. Talmo's patient since I was in grade school. He is a fabulous dentist. I recently had to seek dental care while traveling in London and the dentist I saw marveled at the dental work done by Dr. Talmo. On a recent visit to Dr. Talmo's office, I learned that his daughter Katie has joined the practice. She seems like a real cracker jack - graduating number one in her class from Tufts Dental School last spring. I am overjoyed to know that Dr. Talmo's daughter inherited his great hands and gift for dental work and look forward to many more years of good service. She seems to be taking charge since the office has been renovated since her arrival and they even have a new computer system. It's wonderful to see good things continue - especially since, in addition to great dental work, he has the most beautiful waiting room and best magazines in town!

Time for Paul to retire. It shows in his work! His facility is ancient and not up to the times. A cleaning lady would also help.

My family and I went to Dr. Talmo for over 16 years and were pleased with his care. We were told that all was well with our teeth and gums. We left the country and had to obtain dental services elsewhere for the past two and a half years on frequent and reg visits in the LA area. I found out that I was suffering from serious neglect of my gums and needed $6000 of immediate work to deal with a loose tooth and gum issues. I had gone to Dr. Talmo regularly every 4-6 months every year and cared for my teeth and gums exactly as I had been told. I came to find out that I was also suffering from serious pockets in my teeth/gums. I didn't know what the dentist was talking about as I had never heard of having my gums measured for pockets--Dr. Talmo does not do such measurements. I checked with numerous other dentists in the Los Angeles area and finally in the Boston area and indeed all of them perform such measurements. I had to have surgery to repair gum damage and tooth/bone loss because of neglect in this area. I spoke with Dr. Talmo numerous times regarding these issues but he insisted that measuring gums wasn't necessary. I will now face additional work to continue to repair the damage done over the years from the poor treatment.

Careful methodical classic dentistry. E.g., saved difficult teeth rather than removing, superior gold crowns, etc. A dentist's dentist. Practiced for many years in Harvard Square, and developed a loyal 5-star client base, who travel from dozens to even hundreds of miles for his work.

I've always loved his beautiful waiting area, which helps me overcome my above-average dental anxiety. Dr. Talmo works fast, but is a perfectionist nonetheless. His hygenist is very thorough and an important part of his practice.
