Dr. Defrancesco is good dentist. He is knowledgeable and also has a good attitude. All of the cleanings are done by the hygenist. After the cleanings are done, Dr. Defrancesco comes in to review the teeth cleanings, xrays and gums. The review probably takes about ~10 minutes. He says if it is good or not. I've been with Dr. Defrancesco for about 4 years. Overall, I see him every 6 months and sometimes 2 times a year if I can fit it. Appointments are sometimes very hard to get. I make my appointments six month in advance. One time, because of a snow storm my appointment had to be canceled and moved to the next year after 2 months! This was not good as they should have at least considered that we made this appt. 6 months in advance. Otherwise the service is good. However, it may be sometimes very hard to schedule an appt. if you appt. is canceled. I give 3/4 stars.
About Hygienist: The hygenists are friendly and do a good job.

Very good chair-side manner. Very understanding and will explain procedures and answer questions thoroughly. A down to earth guy, yet highly professional. Very busy practice, but very personal atmosphere. Very good, competent and friendly hygienists.

I LOVE Dr. Defrancesco! He has a great chairside manner. He takes the time to answer all of your questions and will give you an honest answer as to whether he feels you should have a certain procedure done or not or if you are a good candidate for a procedure or not. I have never had a problem with him or his staff. They are all very friendly and helpful. I love the fact that he has Tuesday evening and Saturday appointments as I work full time in Boston and the Tuesday night appoinment fits well into my schedule. His post visit "goodie bags" are great too, free toothbrush and floss, only thing missing is the chocolate - whoops! I am a healthcare provider and find that Dr. D is very professional and gives great care. I have reccomended him to several people looking for a new dentist in the area.

This densist was recommended to me by my childhood dentist whom I loved upon my relocation to the Boston area. The transition was smooth and the experience pleasant will definitly be going back.

I inherited difficult bite and tooth-material. Visited many different Dentists, spent may hours with detntists trying to make the best out of the situation. Due to many unpleasant experiences I suffer from strong anxiety around dental procedures. Dr. DeFrancesco is very supportive, answers and explains everything I ask, and is very understanding. Going to the dentist is no problem for me anymore! Yes, there's stuff to do, but it's not torture anymore... He now is my dentist for more than a decade. His fillings and crowns are still in place - reason for me to think the quality of his work is very good... I recently moved away from the Boston Area, but did not switch to a dentist in my new home - instead I arrange my visits to Boston to coincide with my dentist's visits... It took me a long time to find a dentist that I can work with (or better: who can work with me), and I am not giving him up!

Doctor Defrancesco is a really enjoyable guy. I had to have some emergency work done and he handled/is handling it with care and concern. He does everything in his power for his patients. He also makes the time a pleasant one whether talking about ongoing news or sports. I highly recommend him for any work to be done.

Dr. Bob is a very skilled dentist; his work is quick, painless, and dexterous. He's also a very pleasant guy. I highly recommend him.
