I've had the worst experience in this office. I've had my teeth whitening done, performed by Dr. Shea's husband. During my consultation on Feb. 1, I was assured that this procedure will go fine and I will be very pleased with the results. I never had my teeth whiten before and thought that paying a lot of money to professionals will be worth it. But, I was wrong. I was never warned about the risks and recovery time. At the procedure Dr. and assistant Janice were negligent enough to leave the light for too long, which resulted in incredible sensativity and sharp pains for 4 days afterwards. Beside that, all my gums very badly burned by chemicals and it took almost two weeks to recover. On the 4th day after the procedure my lips were swallen and I can hardly speak. I called the office and explained my concerns, Dr. Shea only said "we are sorry, please come back and we'll take a look". I was denied a refund. I'd like to warn every patient of this office to think twice about having teeth whitening. I'm afraid to set my foot in this office ever again and that my rights as a patient were abused greatly. Right now, my teeth are the same color as before the procedure, and it was a waste of money, time, and incredibly painful experience.
About Hygienist: Doctors and working personnel aren't warning about possible side-effects, and are lying to your face before the procedure, giving a guarantee that everything will go fine. Please be aware, these dentists don't know what they are doing.
