Read Reviews for Dr. Rebecca Silver
I have been seeing Dr. Silver for over 20 years and she defines what good care is all about. I have never needed novocaine since the gentle touch and expert technique made it unnecessary. The office is friendly and welcoming. Billing and insurance is handled without any problems. On the several occasions that I have needed immediate care, they have quickly and efficently fitted me into their busy schedule. I can honestly say that I look forward to each visit.

My life and medical situation has required 12 root canals by Dr. Silver since a life-threatening auto accident in November 1997; medicine for pain management has affected teeth. Without any doubt, hesitation or qualms on my part, Dr. Silver has performed miracle rescues on some extremely difficult cases where teeth had shattered. No misses, no retries, no infections. She remembers me, my interests outside work, my family and asks with concern about my pain management situation. Dr. Silver remembers to check my medication before a procedure to avoid medicine conflicts. In cases of emergencies when a tooth has broken or pain has flaired, fortunately not too often, there's been no hesitation in adjusting her calendar to make things right by bringing me in on a late evening, a Saterday afternoon after normal hours or on one very trying event a Sunday. Teaching at Temple keeps her tuned to the latest tools and techniques, and in my opinioin the dental students are quite fortunate to be able to learn from her. I rate the Cost a 3 only because there is nothing "cheap" anymore today, Facilities a 3 as it is a one-person office and there are no helpers standing around waving fans or handing out towels.

I was referred to Dr. Silver after the original Endodontist I went to made a mess of two root canals and then claimed that there was no problem .He said I should wait 6 months and then go back for evaluation. I came to Dr Silver upset and in deep pain. She took a lot of time with me to put me at ease and determine exactly what needed to be done. It took several visits but she successfully re-treated the root canal work.
.She was not on the Endodontist list provided by my Dental Insurance carrier(like the first quack I went to), but she worked with my insurance (she had to provide evidence and documentation that the retreatment was necessary). Due to her efforts, my copay was reasonable.
Her office is small but well equipped, and she mostly does endodontic worrk. The atmosphere is caring and stress free., and you get taken when scheduled. I would gladly go to her again rather than someone else, even if my insurance paid a smaller percentage than someone on their list,

I once had a root canal performed by Dr. Silver. She did not put me on any anitbiotics prior to the root canal. As a result, I developed a severe infection and had to have the tooth extracted. As far as I am concerned, it all could have been prevented by a strong prescription antibiotic.
