Dr. Kranendonk was very expensive for dental care. The initial consultation cost approximately $850 in which she wanted all of these x-rays. I was told I had a wide variety of dental problems including one tooth that needed to be taken care of immediately and fillings that had decay underneath. She kept repeating how my previous dentist had neglected me and later recanted on this story saying I never took care of my teeth. When I returned for the visit she began to work on it and said now I needed a root canal and a crown, which I believe was unnecessary. I asked for a copy of my dental records and they refused to give it to me saying "it is written in a secret code." Luckily after this second visit I went for a second opinion at which time the second dentist did not find any of this wrong with my teeth. I attempted to contact the dentist to discuss her findings and the front office said she will not call me back. After asking for my records in writing and receiving them, she had written in my notes that she had attempted to contact my husband and I four times and that we did not return her messages. She is listed as practicing in Bethesda, MD, but has a practice, with another dentist, at Milestone Dentistry in Germantown, MD.
