Dr. Hoffman's dental practice (Peninsula Dental Center in Salisbury, MD) scheduled an appointment for my daughter to repair a lost filling. We drove from our home in Virginia to his office on the scheduled date and after going thru all of the tests and exams (which were happily billed to my insurance plan) were told that due to time, they could not fill the tooth that day (even though they knew in advance why we were scheduled) and would have to reschedule an appointment for the following week. We return the following week, my daughter is prepped and injected with novacaine and left in the chair for over 30 min only to be told they couldn't fill the tooth because she was too "anxious". Again they rescheduled and AGAIN they happily billed my insurance plan. We returned AGAIN and they did the SAME THING. Injected her, left her for over 30 min, then crammed a "temporary filling" in the tooth and told her she was too anxious and wanted to reschedule! Funny thing is, she is 18 years old. Has had MANY dental procedures done including multiple fillings and has NEVER left any dentist's chair untreated NOR has she ever been "too anxious" to receive treatment. Patients AND insurance companies BEWARE!!
