I love his hygienist but I would cringe every time I had to see him. I would say no I do not need to see him. He is very prejudice in regards to people from other cultures and races. If you look on his Facebook page it is just shocking. He is anti Muslim, anti gay, and posts all of kinds of inappropriate comments on his page. He posts very offensive links and pages that are not only inaccurate but not from sites that are real. You would think he would know better as he is college educated but he only knows the world from his life of white privilege and doesn’t care to learn about people and believes the ableist, racist views that his family obviously told him. I would rather my teeth rot then see him. I switched dentists and no longer have to deal with his boisterous, old boys club, stereotypical Grosse Pointe Attitudes. His boat was hit by lightening a while back. You would think he would take this as a warning from above to change his ways.

I went in with reoccuring jaw pain that made it difficult to open my mouth completely, this had been going on for over 6 months. I told him I thought my wisdom teeth were coming in. Dr.Vermet did not even take x-rays, just told me I was clenching my jaw at night. Six months later I woke up with an abscess due to a recurring infection (causing the lock jaw) due to my wisdom teeth coming in. I had to have oral surgery the next week. He was too busy talking about my parent's divorce and trying to get gossip about it to look deeper into my case. Even as a teenager I was extremely unimpressed with Dr. Vermet when he took over the practice. His loud-mouthed, ultra-conservative political opinions and racist sense of humor are even less appealing.

About Hygienist: The hygienists are excellent. Very sweet people that make you feel at ease. They are a stark contrast to Dr. Vermet.

Crowns fall out, fillings need to be redone, left me with open contact trapping food. Very nice guy, should have been a politician, but not a good dentist. When I moved, my new dentist told me the work I had done was third rate dentistry at best.

Average Dentist - biggest problem with the dentist is he knows everyone's personal business and loves to spread rumors. Very right wing and a bigot - no problem if you agree and like rumors.

I would never go to a different dentist. Dr, Vermet is always kind and the people that work for him are hard working and professional. I have never had a problem with the service and when people ask if I like my dentist I always say "Yes'. I have referred friends to him several times and will continue to do so.

Good dentist. Very affable and good "chair"-side manner. A local doctor from Grosse Pointe that is worth supporting.
About Hygienist: Hygienist could be more gentle. Asks alot of questions when instruments are in your mouth.

Dr. Vermet has treated my entire family since we first moved to Grosse Pointe Park in 1996. Both Dr. Vermet and his staff are friendly and efficient. They go to great effort to schedule appointments at times that are convenient to our busy schedule, including making themselves available in evening hours. I've had fillings and crowns done by Dr. Vermet, including front teeth; all have turned out excellently. I have had teeth cleaning done anually by Dr. Vermet's staff. I have never experienced pain during any of these procedures. Both my wife and I have dental insurance coverage and Dr. Vermet's staff works with both of our insurance companies which makes it very convenient for us; I have only seen bills for the few procedures that neither insurance company covers, such as sealants. All Dr. Vermett's other fees are fully covered by the insurance. When Dr. Vermett broke both his arms in an accident a couple years ago we had to use another dentist for several months while he healed up. The difference was remarkable - Vermett's services were clearly superior, and we were very glad when he returned to work.
