I took my 7 year old son to Dr. Song for a filling, who has been to a dentist before and had no problems getting work done. Dr. Song treated my son and came out ranting and raving (very unprofessionally) about how he should have sedated him and given him nitrus and that 9 out of 10 of his patients get sedated for every little procedure, since it's 'safe'. The short of it is that his bedside manner is terrible, his communication is abrupt and rushed. He says what he needs to say and walks away, not giving you a minute to ask or follow up with any questions. His work is unreliable and sloppy (my sister is a dentist in NYC and checked the work) i wish i had checked his reviewes before going to him! Do not recommned at all, no one that loves or cares for their kids should go to him! Nitrus is not 'safe', unnecessary xrays are not 'safe'! its a matter of time before someone sues him (unless they already have!)

Dr. Song is a nice enough person but every time I got a filling, it fell out within a week or two. I asked him about a couple of dark areas on my teeth and he said it was just discoloration. The office would frequently cancel appointiments without adequate notice and it turns out that the "discoloration" he wasn't concerned about were actual cavities which my new dentist was quick to identify. I feel like a wasted a lot of time, money and dental health with this guy.
About Hygienist: There is no hygienist. Dr. Song does everything himself and truthfully, he doesn't do a good job. Sorry Dr. Song.

Poor service, follow up and consideration. I'd make sure all expectations are communicated very clearly

Doctor seems ok. His biggest problem is some "old bag" that works for him. 1) she cant hear -- when i filled out my history she is yelling private physician patient comments throughout lobby. 2) before i came i explained to her that I had xrays less than 1 year ago at another dentist do i need to get these before i come since insurance will not pay for new ones, she says Dr song will make his own assessment dont worry about it. Dr Song says cant do anything without the x-rays so ends up being a wasted visit. Anyways Dr Song would be good if not for his useless secretary
