I had tenderness and swelling around the root of my tooth. I knew it was not a good sign, having had 2 root canals done previously by other dentists. Dr. Brandal was very thorough, testing the tooth with ice and electrical stimulation in addition to x-rays. I don't think the others did this. She explained the situation in easy to understand language and answered all my questions. She has a very caring manner. I felt confident in her skills and look forward to getting the work done shortly. Insurance was handled efficiently and quickly.

I highly recommend Dr. Brandal. I called jer office when I was in severe pain. Her office got me in the same day, and she did some initial root canal work to get rid of the pain so I could leave on a trip the next day. There was no pain during my trip, and she finished the root canal when I returned. Although no one liked having a root canal, she and her staff made me feel comfortable the entire time. And although her fees aren't cheap, price isn't much of a factor on deciding which dentist to use when you're in pain. But I would definitely go back if I needed endodontic work again.

I was referred to Dr. Brandal by my General Dentist, who held her in high regard. My first visit neecssitated drilling through my gum to correct a 7 year old inflamed root canal from an East Coast Endodontist. This is called something like an apectectomy, where the tip of the root still has decaying material. She was very caring in terms of explaining the procedure and trying to minimize my fears as this was actual "surgery"! There were a significant number of free follow up appointments.
I moved and my refering Dentist also moved his practice so we lost touch though we are both in the same relative area. Actually we both moved in the same direction. However, I had a painless abscess in the gum area of my upper left side first molar, and I decided to self refer for the needed root canal. The office manager determined that indeed I probably needed a root canal and set me up for a 2 hour appointment because of my description. I called on a Friday, and said I was not rushed, so six days later on Thursday I had it done!
The canals were both twisted and very small, but the procedure seems successful. As she has to make up for others mistakes, I sure hope she got it right the first time. The procedure was doen in one appointment.

Dr. Brandal has been my endodontist for many years.
She was able to save teeth that were not expected to survive.
I trust her judgement 100% for recommendations, treatment, and referrals. Her staff, over the years, remains consistent, caring, and knowlegeable.
Post-treatment follow-up has been excellent.
I highly recommend Dr. Brandal.

I had a root canal done that required two appointments. Her office called the next day after each visit to see how I was doing. One week after the procedure I received a thank you letter in the mail.
The one negative is that I wasn't told of the fees up front. I do have dental insurance but was not advised as to how much I would have to pony-up. Then as I was leaving the office I was told that they expected me to pay the estimated amount that the insurance wouldn't cover.
This is the only time I have been to an endodontist, so I really don't have anything to compare it to.
Overall, I was happy with the care I received.
