If you're looking for an excellent dentist and an outstanding support team...look no more. I have a dentist-phobia and, as such, I hadn't seen a dentist in about 5 years. I found Dr. LaFrom through 1-800-dentist and made an appointment. I was looking for 4 things in a dentist: expertise, state-of-the art technology, "bedside manner" and value. I found all 4 with Dr. LaFrom and his staff.
Over the course of 4 months, I had 5 visits. I needed teeth cleaning, 8 cavaties filled or fillings replaced and a crown. Most of my fillings were 40+ year-old silver/mercury fillings. Some were small and others were massive.
At the first visit, I was met by a very friendly receptionist, Jane. I was seated within 5 minutes. Then x-rays were taken using modern, digital film which produced immediate computer shots of my teeth. No more biting down on those old cardboard film and waiting for them to be developed. They also took pictures of my entire mouth from various angles.
After that I met with Dr. LaFrom for a detailed review of my dental needs. There on a huge computer screen was my teeth from all sorts of angles. Quite impressive. Dr. La From spent at least half an hour going over my current condition and suggested treatment plan. He already had the costs calculated out using my dental plan coverage and co-pays. Again...I was impressed.
My next visit was for a teeth cleaning and that took 2 visits due to the amount of cleaning needed. The dental hygenists, Allison and Ali, did a supurb job and were extremely friendly and professional.
During the next 2 visits I had 8 cavaties replaced with resin fillings. I never felt any pain or discomfort. Dr. LaFrom is a true master of his craft.
And kudos to Michelle! She is the billing expert and dental assistant. She is professional, friendly and a fantastic team member.
Dr. LaFrom has state-of-the art equipment. For instance, when I had my crown done, it was "scanned" using a computerized wand and the crown was "created" on the spot in a fabrication room. Within 3 hours I had a new crown! And it was totally painless! Again...I was impressed.
Michelle did an excellent job of co-ordinating with my Delta Dental insurance company and I made my co-payments at the time of service.
When there was a denial of the cleaning charge, she immediately resubmitted the claim and it was approved. There had just been a mis-coding of the procedure. Problem fixed.
I can't say enough about Dr. LaFrom and his staff. He's expert in his field, has the latest equipment, employes a superb staff, and is reasonably priced.
So if you're looking for the perfect dentist...look no more. And also, spread the word.
About Hygienist: Allison and Ali did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. It was painless, thorough and professional. I can't recommend them enough. Excellent!

Dr. Lee is truly one of the BEST in the Bay Area. I was referred to him by General Hospital in SF after my bicycle accident. Extremely sensitive teeth and hesitant. He was very patient, understanding, informative and the staff are one of the BEST I have even seen in my life time. Thank you Dr. Lee and Thank you to the staff.
