Dr. Gregory J. Kemmitt is short, unprofessional and his work is pitiful. Dr. Kemmitt is the only dentist to give me a filling, so I trusted him wholeheartedly. First, although, they were only surface fillings, I had excessive pain afterwards. One tooth in particular caused daily pain every time that I ate anything that required real chewing - ie, red meat, broccoli, etc. I went back immediately, Dr. Kemmitt, examined me with his shaky hands, and told me it was likely some type of gum irritation and told me to continue to floss and gargle with peroxide based rinse. I did that, but the daily pain persisted. I saw him two additional times; each time, he was dismissive and rude. Finally, over a year later, I went to see another dentist, who was able to fix the problem in ten minutes. The filling that Kemmitt put in was so high & sloppy that my natural bite pattern was inhibited and putting too much pressure on the ligament under that tooth. The new dentist did a little filing and polishing, and when I bit down again the strip showed the force on the cusps of my teeth. When I called Dr. Kemmitt to explain this, he told me that I sounded bitter and that I should have told him that the filling was high...unbelievable.

About Hygienist: I'd like to say that the dental hygienists are exceptional. They are attentive and thorough, and they are the only reason that I would suggest this practice.

this dentist did fillings for me for two occasions. he was my dentist when he did the filling for me first time. that was a total screw up. I had to go back to ask another dentist to fix it. it was "free"...... 2nd time, my wife booked the appointment for me. when I went there saw him, first thing in my mind was "run". but I did not. now I regret. again it was another screw up!!!
3 days after the filling was done, I feel sharp sensitivity on the tooth with the new filling. I had to go back one more time.......

Dr. Kemmitt is a true professional! He makes me feel so comfortable and always seems to remember what we talked about during my last visit. I have never felt ANY pain whatsoever. He is very genuine and doesn't make you feel like you are at the dentist. My implants are working out wonderfully. The office is gorgeous and the staff is so helpful! They worked very well with my insurance and I am so happy with the overall result.

Going to a dentist is not my idea of fun. My childhood dentist left a lasting impression, and when I first went to Dr. Kemmitt, I was more than nervous about having any work done on my mouth. Dr. Kemmit could sense, and see, my anxiety and did everything in his power to make me feel comfortable. It was the most positive experience I had ever had with a dentist! 19 years later, I recently brought my son to see Dr. Kemmitt. Again, Greg Kemmitt and the staff at Blue Ridge Dental eased any fears my 3 year old son had about having a stranger poke around in his mouth. Kudos to Dr. Kemmitt and the staff at Blue Ridge Dental!
