My experience with Dr. Larson and his staff has been superb!!! I had a full mouth restoration in the most comfortable of settings, with tremendous emotional and physical support, and extreme expertise from Dr. Larson and his highly efficient and competent staff.
I would recommend this office to anyone needing extensive dental treatment, having high anxiety, or just wanting overall dental care and maintenance.
The results I received in this office by far exceeded my expectations. The process and the results were both EXCELLENT! The greatest satisfaction I have is knowing that Dr. Larson created a very natural smile that ehances my overall appearance rather than changes it. Dr. Larson brings dentistry to another level, combining artistry with dentistry. Dr. Larson may specialize in cosmetic dentistry but he is equally vigilant with respect to dental health and function.
I am completely satisfied with my results and continue to enjoy regular dental maintenance in this office.
I know this doctor: Approximately 2 and a half years.

Caring, professional and helpful. His staff are superb.
What's great about Dr. Larsen and his staff is that you are treated like an individual. An important one at that. This is in stark contrast to visits that I have had to other so called healthcare professionals that treat you like cattle.
Strong reco!

One of my friends had just seen Dr. Larsen with an emergency, and he did the work without her being able to pay. I am able to pay, but was looking for a new dentist, feeling like my regular dentist was not doing enough either cosmetically or practically for my receding gum problem. I decided to patronize Dr. Larsen with the big heart. I found him and his staff competent and educated in all the latest technologies. For patients' comfort he even has memory foam on his "long appointment" chairs. He put a tiny video camera in my mouth and showed me every crack and fissure in my teeth. But his office is in one of San Francisco's most expensive areas, and the work was about 50% more expensive than my previous dentist. I needed a root canal and crown, and immediately maxed out my insurance. Then Dr. Larsen suggested that I get gum grafts for my recession (which I agree with), and 10 veneers on my top teeth. Now I have pretty nice teeth--albeit not perfect from a dentist's point of view--but they are straight and healthy, except of course for the recession. If money were no object, I'd give Dr. Larson 5 stars. But I couldn't afford the solution he suggested, so I'm seeing a different dentist for a 2nd opinion.

I agree with the comment below re: upselling. I had the same experience. Dr. Larsen definitely strikes me as someone who views his patients as cash flow opportunities. I don't think he'd recommend a procedure strictly for the money, but I do believe if there is the slighest cause for a given procedure he will recommend it. It makes we wonder about the care he administers -- though not enough for me to switch. I guess I'm too lazy and I can easily ignore his sales jobs.

Dr. Larson is an attentive dentist and explains the procedure throughly. My only complaint is that everyone in the office constantly tries to upsell you on teeth whitening and other expensive procedures. (I had this happen at the end of a very long procedure, and it was the last thing I wanted to hear!) Also, the quotes I have received from Dr. Larson's office end up being significantly higher once you get the procedure done. Almost double, actually. He seems to do a good job, but is very expensive.
