Dr. Summerville is not my regular dentist. I had an incredibly painful toothache and possible infection and he was able to get me in.
They x-rayed my teeth and said there was something lodged in between the two teeth that hurt so he went at it pretty good and said it was dislodged. I was numb so I couldn't tell what the pain level was, although it was obviously going to be severe.
He prescribed me antibiotics and tylenol with codeine.
Long story short, I was in complete agony the day of and after treatment so I called to request something that would help alleviate my pain. The receptionist called back and said the doctor wants to WAIT to see if the antibiotics work!? I said...ok, but in the meantime, what should I do about the pain. She said that Dr, Summerville is not there to treat pain but to cure the problem. I said, ALL DOCTORS BOTH TREAT PAIN AND TRY TO "CURE" YOU!
Later, my mom, a patient of another doctor there called, and the receptionist said they thought I was a pain killer abuser! I go from dentist to dentist getting food lodged in my teeth for medicine!? Nice right?
If you are someone that prefers to not be in pain, and to be medicated until it goes away, you may want to avoid this guy.
About Hygienist: The hygienists were super nice. I have no idea about their skill level.

Do not go there!!!!!! They tell you something but they charge you something else. I had four fillings done and I was charged for six fillings. He could not get me numb. The staff seem very friendly but they do not know what they are doing. For some reason they think that SS# is 8 digit, I understand people make mistakes but I called them several times to fix my SS#.The WORST dentist experience I 've ever had. DO NOT GO THERE if you do not want to be ripped off.
