Read Reviews for Dr. Helen Lawson
instead of having any skill just extracted one tooth after another. she also did some root canals , a partial, and crowns - all of them had to get redone! lazy entist don't go to her because you will have to get everything redone by a competent dentist and that is going to cost you!

I have finally found a wonderful dentist in the Bay Area. Dr. Lawson (now Dr. Alderson, by the way), has a terrific bedside manner and really put me at ease. She has also been great with my son. Her work is great too. The two fillings I got from her I didn't even notice within a few hours. The office is clean and very comfortable, with video movies you can watch while getting your work done if you like. Kids love this. Very nice staff too and helpful with insurance questions and things like that. Easy parking across the street.

Dr. Lawson is wonderful. Very informative, sensitive to a patient's fears/concerns/questions. She seemed to have all the time in the world to spend with me. Also, she realized that some of the work I needed done was expensive and worked carefully with me to time the procedures so that my insurance coverage was maximized. She is a very warm and friendly person, always carefully explained exactly what she was doing and offered alternatives. I would highly, highly recommend her.

I have been going to Helen for more than 10 years and recommend her to everyone. Her special care for those of us who have fears are the best. I am luck to have found her.

I've had a fear of dentists since I was young, and have avoided them as much as possible - until Dr. Lawson.
She is a sweet woman who takes the time to explain things to you, as well as chatting you up about your life - which is a great distraction.
She'll tell it like it is and won't lead you down the most expensive path.
I would and have highly recommended her for 5 years.
Melanie
p.s. I would also add that sometimes the hygenists are a bit aggressive in their teeth cleanings - but letting them know ahead of time that you are quiet sensitive (sometimes) helps.

I recently started seeing Dr. Lawson and wish I had found her years ago. One of her specialties is dealing with the fear and pain most patients are worried about.
Her chair side manner and instructive nature are exemplary and should be followed by all dentists. Add to this that she is easy to talk to and is interested in more than just your dental health.
I have been highly recommending Dr. Lawson since I first saw her last year (2003) and will continue to do so.
While the following doesn't have a direct bearing on Dr. Lawson, it should be noted that the front office crew isn't always as professional as they should be. Be sure to check over your billing statements, repeated charges for annual deductible and be vigorous in getting the answers to your questions about your insurance. It is, after all, what they are for.
If you tell Dr. Lawson that M. Fuller recommended you, she'll give you a $25 off certificate for your visit. I will simply continue to receive the highest in dental care, which is priceless.
