This guy will try and cheat you out of your money by billing for frivolous things not covered by insurance. Stay far, far away from him.

Dr. Cohen told me I was a bad parent because my child had a cavity. He told me to stop feeding him "junk"(as if he knew anything about my child's eating habits) While repairing this cavity my son complained that he wasn't numb enough. Dr. Cohen then told me my child must be lying because he had certainly numbed him enough. We never went back. I tell everyone to avoid this doctor at all cost!

Avoid this dentist! He broke and chipped my teeth without telling me. And after he did a filling, the tooth got infected.

I'm a very nervous, chair clutching patient and Dr Cohen and his staff have seen me through several procedures. A couple of them I had put off just for fear. They were VERY calming and even had me laughing.
About Hygienist: Hygenists are awesome.

I would not recommend. My family and I went to this dentist for 2 years. There were multiple billing errors made on more than 1 of my families visits. The biller always billed each appointment as the initial appointment thus charging a higher rate to the insurance company who would deny this and then I would get a bill for the difference and have to then remind the person who did the billing that were in the network that Dr. Cohen was in and we did not need to pay anything additional. My 8 year old had her molars sealed and then 6 months later had a cavity in the tooth that was suppose to be sealed. Dr. Cohen also said loudly in his office a comment about my 11 year olds teeth not being straight&&the way he made the comment was rude and made her cry. Had he just looked at her chart he would have seen that indeed she was seeing an orthodontist. Perhaps he was irritated because I did not chose to use the one he recommended. Again I would not recommend this dentist.

My daughter and I have both had tremendous success with Dr. Cohen over the 10+ years we've been seeing him. He has done all of our routine checkups, veneers for me, new crown and repair for me, cavity filling, wisdom teeth pulling and pulling another tooth for my daughter. ALL procedures have been timely, professional, with no issues. I've even had to call him after hours in an emergency - he called me right back and we resolved the broken crown first thing the next day! His staff is friendly and professional as well. I hope I don't have to switch for a good long time to come.

I went to Dr. Gene Cohen for many years, and was generally pleased. His staff is very nice, and his offices are nice also (although somewhat small and cramped). I left for 1 main reason: after seeing Dr. Cohen for many years (and for cleanings 3 times per year), he still did not seem to know me personally. Virtually every time he looked at my mouth, he asked if I had ever had gum surgery (which I did).
I also had Zoom teeth whitening done by one of his technicians and was not at all happy with the results. I had a terrible burn on my lower inside lip from the bleach, which took weeks to heal. This was in spite of the fact that she didn't leave the bleach on for the full 60 minutes (per my request).

I normally don't like dentists, but my visit with him was very relaxing and quick. He has restored my faith in dentists and I even recommended him to my friends. They were satisfied also with his services.
