Overpriced services and dishonest about the price of service. I was told specifically by the receptionist that this dental office was "in network" to my insurance, and come to find out after I get a $700 bill that it IS NOT (what was left over after my insurance coverage). I went back and forth with the receptionist about the charges and ended up finding out through calling my insurance that they were out of network.
During my last visit for a routine cleaning, I asked the dentist Dr Pendergrast as soon as she sat down about filing one of my front teeth down to even it out with my other tooth. Instead, she built up filling around the tooth to even things out. To be fair, the filling looks really good and has held up well. BUT I was charged $250 for this service and I had no idea! She just performed the service without explaining pricing to me at all. I wouldn't have gotten it done had I known it was so expensive. She left immediately after the filling was complete without even starting my general routine teeth exam. As I was leaving the office, I checked my invoice for the visit and found that I was charged for a dental check up from the dentist (which did NOT happen) and I was also charged for X-rays that never happened ( I was pregnant so I declined xrays). I was eventually able to get the charges reversed, but still I was initially charged for services never performed. Do NOT go to this dental office. There are other dentists in town that do not charge as much as this office with more transparency and honesty then what I have experienced. Oh and by the way, I was charged $700 DOLLARS for a night guard for teeth grinding. Let that sink in. DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible customer service and overpriced dental services.
