Definitely do NOT recommend. Terrible communication and social skills/friendliness, not informative about what he is doing, very little compassion/understanding.

I am NOT a big fan of dentists. My teeth are horrible. It is genetic. Going to the dentist has always been an ordeal. It always starts with my gagging as I have x-rays done and then I see the looks of disapproval and sadness as everyone in the office thinks that because my teeth look so bad I haven't brushed or flossed in years. (Not the case.) HOWEVER, in this office the x-rays went fine and when I had problems keeping my mouth open or had a little pain there was no disappointment or anger just total understanding and patience. I will continue to make regular visits to Dr. Freund, while nothing can be done about my hereditary dental problems I have, he can keep the pain away and keep me smiling.

I used Dr. Freund as my primary dentist for 3-4 years and would still be going to him had I not had a change to insurance with spotty coverage. He was always very friendly and easy to talk to. Unlike other reviews I've seen, when I had a cavity filled, he was very helpful in explaining where the problem was and what the procedure was to fix it. The office on Big Bend is a little hard to find at first, and parking is limited, but I've never had a problem.

Never a long wait, nice staff, personable dentist. Pretty good looking, if that matters to you :) . Patient, laid back. VERY Technologically advanced office. The building doesn't look like much, but very high tech. Great staff, everyone is very nice and I have never had a negative experience.

this guy filled my lost filling when i was in pain, got me in right away. didnt know him well, just kinda picked a name in book and went to him. his chair-side manners could use improvement, as i've had over 10yrs of orthodonitics done, so i want to know what someone is doing in my mouth when they're doing it. his nurses are superb and create a great relaxing environment, as well as the front-desk ladies.
other than that, he finished the job in time, did it well, cleaned my teeth too. not too chatty. very patient in letting me close my mouth/rest my jaws (i have jaw issues) rather than keeping it open the whole time. his office could use a bit of sprucing up, it looks like a little shack inside and out. pain was well managed, procedures were fast, cost was reasonable, as my insurance was sucky.
he tried pushing some products on me to do, so that was a bit annoying too, tho i held my ground and just got done what i needed and left. OVERALL not bad doc for a quick fix.

I am very comfortable at Dr. Freund's office. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have always had a good experience. Billing, insurance help and any other questions I have are always answered in a timely manner. I highly recommend Dr. Freund and his staff.

My husband calls Dr. Freund "The Dude". His staff in pleasant and very understanding. I've tried a couple of dentist in the area (I typically have high anxiety before going to a dentist because of a childhood experience) . When I go for my regular checkup my anxiety level is no where near as bad as it was with other dentists. After moving into St. Louis 4 years ago, I finally found a dentist I can be comfortable with. Plus, their billing is usually correct meaning I don't have to attempt to have them bill correctly to my insurance over and over again!

I recently switched to Dr. Freund when I moved back into the neighborhood. (His office is a door down from my bank, a few blocks from home.) I have been very pleasantly surprised!
Dr. Freund's office is relaxed and cozy, yet the equipment is modern and top notch. (Laser dentistry is available, and there is a nifty computer imaging system!)
The staff is extremely friendly, and always careful with regard to my comfort. (That's important! I'm getting periodontal work done, as well as cosmetic work and a probable implant. No appreciable pain in several visits, and I really don't expect any in future.) I've found the Doctor himself very responsive to questions, and always willing to explain my treatment in terms I can easily understand.
I've already told friends to go see Dr. Freund, and will continue to do so. I am quite happy to have found this practice!
