Read Reviews for Dr. Gary Traub
Terrible place. Over priced and obviously doesn’t put any money into it’s falling apart facility. Con artist. Taking advantage of insurance schemes. Everyone will get major dental work recommend at a big price tag. Staff are obviously under paid and he pockets all the money with his vacation pictures laying around and his staff look look they are impoverished.

always friendly. appointments avaiable in reasonalbe time, reminder cards mailed to paitents. office staff could be a little more informed on the differnet dental plans and be able to advise patient which plan would best suit what dr. traub allows. they could do this without being so put out.

Dr. Traub is friendly and pleasant. I've been able to get appointments easily. The hygienists, while cheerful and nice, are not as good at pain-free cleaning or shame-free flossing advice as other practices I've been to. I've had one filling; unfortunately it gave me pain for a couple months afterwards and left a space between my teeth (on the other hand, it was in a technically difficult location - between two molars); he wants to redo it but I think I'll wait until I find a new dentist. Overall, he is not the best dentist I've had but not the worst either, so I'm content to go there for cleanings but will plan to find a new dentist whose practice is better with anxious patients before getting any work done.
Note that my experience is with the Chippewa location of the practice.

Dr. Traub was our family dentist for four years. Some of his hygienists were rude (asked about side effects from anti-depressents as a conversation piece during cleaning), painful and unprofessional. They took our insurance CompDent without any problem.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Traub's horrible bedside manner. He doesn't wear a mask that covers his nose. He is not very careful or gentle. My son, who was four years old at the time, had a cavity on the inside of a front tooth. He was scared and had a hard time holding his mouth open. During a time of stress with the drill and my son trying his best to keep his mouth open, Dr. Traub yelled, "Keep your mouth open or I will cut you with this drill!!! Do you want me to cut you?" The filling turned out alright, but that was a horrible experience to say the least.

My criticism is mostly with the hygenist. I was swolen, cut and sore after a routine cleaning. I went back, got the same hygenist and had the same results.

I've only seen Dr. Traub for a routine checkup. The dental hygienist was extremely thorough (perhaps too thorough; the cleaning process was slightly painful). Afterwards, Dr. Traub looked at my teeth for about five minutes and declared that everything was in excellent condition. This agrees with my previous dentist's evaluation.

Unfortunately, Dr. Traub does not seem to understand the importance of cosmetics in dentistry. He had almost NO qualms about putting a lousy front crown in my mouth which was a poor match in both shape and color (especially color - I was told "they can't make crowns as white as you want" which I know after speaking to other dentists is just not true if you're up to date on cosmetic dentistry). It was like pulling teeth (pun intended) getting it modified to a point where I could live with it being in my mouth. Worse yet, I waited a MONTH from the time I came in with my broken front tooth to the day I had an adequate crown installed, with only an AWFUL "temporary" which was as yellow as butter to hold me over. The whole experience was simply awful and the facilities look like they haven't been updated in thirty years. The few procedures I've had done at Dr. Traub's offices have set my mouth back ten years. It will cost me a good bit to get the "fixed" things truly "fixed". STAY AWAY.

My family likes Dr. Traub, but are not happy that other dentists rotate through his office with varying degrees of chair-side manner skills. Dr. T has been great in an emergency, but for routine care we never know who we're going to see next. One of the "back up dentists" had absolutely no idea how to handle my terrified first-timer four-year-old and it's been a challenge ever since. We're switching to a dentist who will get to know us better.

I went to Dr. Traub after moving into the area from another state. I had received regular dental care my entire life and had generally good oral health.
Dr. Traub determined that I had several cavities which he filled with porcelain. The procedures were painless and the results are very pleasing cosmetically. However, I have one filling which has been painful for me when I bite down for over a month. Dr. Traub has been unable to determine the cause of my discomfort but he plans to remove the filling and replace it at no charge.
