Do not let this dentist do any work in your mouth. See an endodontist if you need a root canal and a periodontist if you need a tooth pulled. He thinks he can do it all!
Dr. Palmer's replacement of mercury fillings resulted in a needed root canal which he performed. It failed, resulting in him performing an extraction leading to dry socket. He did not do a bone graft at the time of the extraction to prepare for the implant he planned to do. It was fortunate that he then told me that the three other root canals I had, yet had no problems with, had failed, and those needed to be extracted. Deciding the $20,000+ he was projecting for his work, needed a second opinion, I headed elsewhere. The second (and third) opinions were that the root canals are fine and that the bone where Dr. Palmer had extracted the tooth was far from sufficient to support an implant for a molar. If he had proceeded as planned, it would lead to more problems.
This doctor never gave me written instructions of after-procedure care or explained sufficiently what to look out for. Every procedure he performed, no matter how insignificant, was painful. STAY AWAY!!!
