I recently remembered going to Dr. Malone as a child and how terrifying the whole experience was. For simple dental procedures, he would knock me out with gas and I remember waking up crying with him right next to my face, whispering to me that I was okay. But I was not okay. Something was off about him, and I felt unsafe and scared, and I remember crying - actual tears running down my face - for my dad. It has been probably almost 20 years now, but I wonder if anything really bad happened to me, as well as the others who have commented here, while we were knocked out with the laughing gas. From what I could find, he has since passed away. But it still makes my skin crawl to think of when I was in his presence.

He was my dentist as a kid. I was always terrified of him. He once put his hand over my mouth so I couldn’t breath when I was crying. He does not need to be practicing children’s dentistry.

I went to this dentist when I was a kid all the way up to 18. Was always terrified of any dentist and this took any other dentists chances away of ever getting trust with me again. He knew I didn’t like the dentist so instead of trying to get me calmed down he pinched my nose off and covered my mouth to where I couldn’t breathe and eventually passed out. They always gave me to much gas to where I would get sick. When I was little we were taught to not say anything to trust adults so I never told my mom. Well flash forward to my sons only visit to him and I never told him my story. He came out telling me exactly what happened to me happened to him. I was shocked and called the police. Investigation done and closed. After reading Annie’s review I thought I would share my experience. I always wondered if I was the only one and if maybe my son had heard me talk about my story but this just made everything that happened over a couple years that much worse! Dr Malone does fine work- it is his personality that is terrifying. As a child that had not been away from my mom, I was scared. I would have tears- not pitching a fit, just tears on my face. He would threaten me, squeeze my head and tell me if I did not stop crying, I was not going to be allowed to leave. It still haunts me today and I am over 40. No child should go there. I was given gas, which was fine, but I think I was given excessive amounts. I would see myself floating above my body under the gas and heard the staff saying "she is coming back, she is ok now". I was never combative- my parents taught me better. He could not handle silent tears. It was a terrifying experience. I never told my mother- I was taught to mind adults and just do what I was told. I thought I just had to take it. His threatening actions were very traumatizing to me as a child. I will never forget my experience. Please do not take your children there. He also was finding cavities to fill every time I went and my parents began to be suspicious. They took me for another opinion and the new dentist said I did NOT have cavities. He was saying I needed work to get money when no fillings were needed.

About Hygienist: The hygienists were always sweet and kind, making every effort to keep me from being scared. When he came in, it was always so scary and threatening, I would dread my appt days before I was to go.
