Was recomended to the Doctor by a friend, had 2 wisdom teeth that needed pulling and I wanted to keep them (yeah I know weird to som but I just wanted to see what had been causing pain to me all the years) Asked the Doctor before hand if it would be a problem, he assured me it wouldn't. After seeing him for 2min tops on the day of the extraction, and asking for the teeth, he relied "you have no need for those" tossed them into the trash and left.
Maybe it's not normal practice for people to keep thier wisdom teeth but if some one asks and it's agreed upon, give them to the person, there's no harm or foul in doing so.
