Read Reviews for Dr. James Carpenter
The procedure done by this dentist was that he filed off my top front 6 teeth to small stubs, then I had crowns placed on them. the cost was $6,000. There was very much pain, as he had his dental assistant make the 2 piece temp. over these stubs, and there was large hole behind every stubs, causing shock like like pain every time food or drink touched. When I went back and told the Dr. he laughed. I tolerated this for 3 weeks. He knocked my top left tooth out with a drill, then it cost me 2,000 to save it. 825 for a root canal, 1,000 for a crown, at my cost. When I picked my records up this incident or entire visit was not documented. His assistant was beside him the entire time. He let the same assitant make the temp. crowns for the cannines, that were unsucessful, they were applied 3 times, they came off all 3 times. The dentist set the right front cannine crown too low, causing the gum to recede and look bad, and this caused the precision fitting partial not to fit, causing sharp pain when I would try to eat with in place. The also was not documented in my chart. nothing ever issued for pain, chair-side manners were very unprofessional, my insurance paid a very small amount. I would not recommend this dentist to others.
About Hygienist: the hygientist treatment was not thorough, she would only halfway clean my teeth, but would never check them, as I have noted others doing in the past.
