Dr. Huffines is usually fairly prompt in his services. He has become too expense for me. I've noticed that it is easier to get an appointment with him, so maybe others are leaving his practice too.
My wife had a root canal at his suggestion and it was a complete failure. She had constant pain after it and he was clueless as to the reason. It turned out that the tooth that he "fixed" was cracked right down the middle and due to his poor quality x-ray machine, he could not tell it.
She found this out after she went to an Endodondist. Immediately upon seeing his high res x-ray, he told her that the tooth could not be saved and should have been pulled instead of having a root canal done.
At that point she had had the root canal, plus at Dr. Huffines suggestion, a crown placed over that tooth. Over $2,000 spent for nothing! She still had to have the tooth extracted and now needs an expensive implant placed. Caveat!

Dr. Huffines is very focused on the very best care for myself and all my family, i also have several friends that go to him are are also very pleased. He tells you as it is and gives all options available. His staff is very good at explaining how the process works and is very concerned for our comfort while there and is courtious to check on us after in extensive treatment. I highly reccommend any and all parts of this office.

About Hygienist: Melissa see my family and most of all my friends there and is very good.

Questionable charges. I was not happy when i received bill. I was quoted one amount and charged more. Staff tried to justify the amount. I have been to lots of dental offices and never experienced this before.

Best Dentist around the Donelson area. He does beautiful work and has a great staff.

I am happy to drive 65 miles past perhaps hundreds of other providers to have my dental work done here. With a life-long fear of dental work, being comfortable with the office and staff is critical to me. Not only did they handle my initial appointment with my particular concerns in mind, the evaluation was very thorough and was well explained. Since I had not been seen in a few years, the process took longer than normal, but they handled it with ease and without making me feel rushed in the least and at no additional cost.
When an emergency popped up 2 months later, they took me in right away (next day) and handled the problem quickly and very professionally.
Although over the years I have been known to avoid dentistry at all costs for years at a time, I have no hesitation whatsoever in seeking regular treatment from Dr Huffines and his staff. I am facing several more procedures which I am looking forward to having him complete.

my rating: ricky huffines dental stinks. ugly crowns, questionable charges my ins.co. & i paid for procedures i've come to learn were not necessary. he used septo & a mand block; angry i wasn't numbing fast enough so 2 more shots,1 an add'l septo. i'm left w/nerve damage (9 specialists tons of money, still in pain). should have trusted my instincts, his demeanor: weird. he didn't talk directly to me,instead, 'if she'd open wider' & 'if she'd move her tongue.' the females @ front became snippy as i reported lingering pain after what he did (i went in there w/no pain, no concerns) they said come in @ lunchtime. arrived a bit early & am told by the females that i'll need to wait as they're having a potluck! identical mailers come to my home addressed to all diff. names. shoddy inaccurate records. did he miss taking the oath to above all do no harm? only went in that place to establish a dentist & for a cleaning (which equated to intraoral camera fiddling by some woman). ultimately i ended up w/this damage,constant pain. traveled back to my previous clinic and was asked why all this was done at all. bbb referred me to state board. a lifetime of taking care of my teeth, it only took 1 careless guy w/a needle & a drill to ruin my life.

i was recommended to go see dr. huffines by my co-workers. i really liked friendly staff and great service that they provided. also they were very knowlegeable with different types of insurance. before i went in for my procedure, i knew exactly what would be covered by my insurance.
