Read Reviews for Dr. Philip Mascia
Doesn't accept ANY insurance, so even if U are "fortunate" to have any insurance, he gouges excessive rates - far over other practitioners (most participate in some plans & pay admin. costs doing so that Mascia doesn't incur - pure PROFIT for HIM, at your expense)
IF his procedure(s) worked, that might be acceptable. However, that is NOT this case.
After performing root canal (over several weeks between visits) BEFORE scheduled appointment for crown to be done by GP (WHY endodontists don't provide the necessary crowns after root canals is BEYOND comprehension & convenience)
his 'work' FAILED…with GP office closed for vacation, had to go back to endodontist for 'office visit" - KACHING $ -
Took a quick look then pronounced it 'failed' - followed by,
brusk, 'You have to have surgery.'
No explanation, certainly no explanation nor remote empathy.
Of course, He does NOT provide any referrals - "that's up to patients" because he doesn't want any 'liability' for referrals.
He didn't refund ANY of his prohibitive costs PAID IN ADVANCE - dismissively, with hostility, declaring "a crown is still necessary" - an additional cost - in other words, cost of his failure is not his problem, just as surgery cost isn't his concern.
About Front Desk: Only courteous when collecting your payment IN ADVANCE. Heaven forbid you should impose on them with a call or question. They are too busy, too 'pressured' to have THEIR time imposed upon/wasted by patients viewed as mere cash cows.
