I brought my 2 year old in on a referral. Dr. Ergas did not talk to her and explain what he was going to be doing to put her at ease. He just went up and started poking around in her mouth and my child was scared to death. He told me that her front teeth could not be saved (damage due to frequent nebulizer use) He lacked bedside manner and came across as very cold, to me this was a big deal. The wanted to give her codeine and strap her into what looks like a toddler straight jacket for the procedure, I know for a fact there are options available that are not so harsh on a 2 year old baby as I have now seen another dentist! I had a lot of questions about the treatment and they pretty much told me what wasn't covered by insurance printed out what I had to pay and sent me on my way feeling very unsure. A Peds dentist is supposed to be friendly to the children, he was cold and uncaring!
About Front Desk: When I called to make my appt.I did not feel that the receptionist was very friendly and that did not change when I arrived. I don't think she smiled once the entire time. She even took the liberty of scolding my toddlers for me, how nice! I have now found another dentist office to treat my daughter and will never go to Dr Ergas again
