My entire family has been going to this dentist for 13 years.
Recently, i had a cavity that he drilled so deep that he killed the nerve. Rather that admitting this, he just filled it as it was, leaving it to die by itself.
Of course, weeks later, i had a terrible pain in my face, by that tooth. The nerve was dying and my entire face was throbbing. After explaining to him what was wrong, he deemed that it wasnt an emergency and left me to wait in pain for 2 weeks (i survived with over the counter stuff from walgreens).
Finally, i get to the dentist, he does a root canal on the tooth explaining to me that, 'he dont know how that could have happened.. but he heard it happens sometimes' (this is the explanation fo a supposed professional!) He then charges me $900 to repair the tooth He Killed and bills my insurance an Extra $1200 for the root canal, obviously they only gave him($600, avg. root canal) so he then decides to bill ME for the remainder (apparently he thinks he deserves it).. when i explained to him that $ was tight this month 'cause of xmas.. He Texted Me Harassing Messages! giving me an Ultimatum to pay or be sued! (1 week before xmas!)
In short, find a PROFESSIONAL dentist.

Tried to tell me that I needed a new filling even though I had no issues. Tried to get me to pay $1,000 out of pocket for porcelain. Got the enamel(?) instead. 7 months later and it still hurts me to swallow any cold beverage. Will have to go to a new doc to correct. Agree with the general feelings here. Seems to be concerned with money and he seems like a sleazy car salesman to me. Used him because he's 2 blocks from my house. Poor judgement on my behalf!
