We went to Threshold Dental. They are endorsed and advertised on many autism resource sites. Their own website uses the fact that they are well prepared and able to care for patients with these special needs to gain patients. This was NOT the case.
The office was disorganized and their ability to help children at all much less those with special needs was non-existent. They had no clue how to work with her for x-rays, she had no service done today and the dentist himself was more impatient than I would ever expect a dentist to be with a typical child; much less one with autism.
I worked hard today at her appointment. I worked with her through the process as they just stared at me like they were working with an alien species.
Shame on YOU, Threshold Dental. You use the hopes of desperate parents that are longing for the care their children deserve.
About Front Desk: so disorganized and not at all helpful.

Very sad. My caregiver took my daughter, 17, for a 6 month cleaning which we had received a notice for. To my surprise, my caregiver called and said Dr. Simpson said he needed to pull five of my daughters teeth....actually told her that kids in "group homes" should have teeth pulled, (I.e. Wisdom teeth) since caregivers don't usually help much with oral hygiene. I thought that was the most insensitive, unethical statement to make. Also, he was supposed to call and discuss this with me...he has yet to call. I took the next day off of work to get another opinion which was completely the opposite. X-rays showed wisdom teeth growing in straight and not overcrowding teeth. Hugely disappointed....I'm in healthcare, a nurse, and this is appalling behavior. Money hungry I think I would say.
About Front Desk: 0 stars. I have not called that office that I have not immediately been put on hold as soon as they answered. Very poor. Leaves you on hold each time for moderate amt of time.
