My son and I have been a patients of Dr. Timpson . Two years ago I switched insurance companies and forgot to give a copy to the front desk office to update on their records. Of course the front desk continued to bill my old insurance. Each time it came back rejected. The girls working the front desk never mentioned this to me. They waited a year and a half before saying anything to me. Of course by then the insurance company refused to pay because it was too old. I definitely made a mistake in forgetting to update my record of insurance. But why didn't the front desk question me about it? Instead they kept sending it in and every time it was rejected. I realize I'm at fault but I feel they should share some responsibility in not making me aware so it would've been easily taken care of. Now the only way my son and I can continue to see Dr. Timpson is for me to pay first and I would be responsible for taking the claim up with my insurance. I don't have that kind of money to pay up front. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. Now I can't see my Dentist of 16 years because of this. I feel they should accept some responsibility in this matter also. Dr. Timpson is an outstanding Dentist and I'm being penalized for this.
About Front Desk: Because of this incident I must rate them incompetent. I had the same insurance for the first 14 years of going here. There were never any issues until now. I have to keep asking why didn't they question me when this happened instead of repeatedly sending the same claim in and having it rejected time after time? I'd had never lost my Dentist if they had done their job for a long time patient.
About Hygienist: Always terrific. Outstanding when my son was young and terrified of going to the Dentist.
