Outstanding technician, caring and does great work.
His office is very clean and pleasant. His Assistant is through, fun and has a great attitude.

I left because I felt the cleanings were not thorough. He did them himself and they lasted about 10 minutes. It felt like he didn't even get to half of my teeth. I didn't have any complaints regarding the actual dental work, and he was much cheaper than other dentists I've gone to. I never felt pushed to have work done that I didn't feel I needed. If you are looking for something cheap, he's okay, I guess.

Been seeing Doc. Mairani for 14 years. Have referred many friends to him, all are very pleased. Nicest guy, painless procedures, awesome staff. Not sure about price but it seems affordable to me, especially cleanings and the (rare) filling. I actually look FORWARD to going to the dentist!

I've been Dr. Mairani's patient for over 20 years now and I actually look forward to my semi-yearly checkups. He's extremely personable, kind, gentle and never keeps me waiting for my appointment. Anytime I've had to have more than a cleaning done, it's always been done quickly and efficiently with no problems post-procedure.

I had not been to the dentist in several years, but Dr Mairani was very helpful and made it a little more pleasant. He gives good advice on proper brushing techniques, but may give you a guilt trip about it! The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helped out with the insurance claims. Overall a good dentist, although he sometimes goes into too much gory detail!

Good dentist, nice guy. At my old company, a coworker strongly recommended Dr. Mairani. At least 4 of us in the office made the switch based on our coworker's advice.

I have been going to Dr. Dan on and off since 2000. I started seeing him at the recommendation of several colleagues, and have since referred many people to his office. I especially like the personalized attention and one-on-one time (ie: no screaming kids getting teeth yanked or grumbling patients suffering through root canals one cubicle over during your appointment.) Dr. Dan is thorough, no doubt. I feel a little thud in my chest when walking into the office because I know I won't have been as "good" as I ought to have been. But, you know, I came for a good tooth cleaning-- if I'd wanted a massage, North Beach is right over the hill.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dan for 11-12 years, recommended by a friend who remains a fellow patient. My first positive impression: Dr. Dan does the cleaning process himself, rather than relegating that to a hygienist. I believe this is important because the dentist is the best qualified person to determine if there is a hidden problem.
I am not a calm or easy patient, but Dr. Dan's needle technique is superb; I am never needlessly subjected to discomfort or undue stress.
He and his assistant Nicole are an excellent team -- they are cheerful, friendly, and considerate. Dr. Dan clearly respects and appreciates Nicole -- she's been with him for several years. (I take notice of employers who are able to retain employees for long periods of time -- it indicates to me that the courtesy extended to the client is also given to staff.)
All services performed on me (crowns, fillings, cleanings, night guard) were done properly the first time, with no need for a return or a revision of the work. While I have not had an emergency that needed after-hours attention, I am told by fellow patients that Dr. Dan does his best with those situations as well.
In short, he's great!

Dr. Dan is a breath of fresh air! I have seen two other dentists here in San Francisco and in Mountain View and found that my recent visits to Dr. Dan have been the best. I usually get very nervous and impatient at the dentist but Dr. Dan's office is so laxed and comfortable it's harder to view it as a dentist appointment rather than just an errand.
I've seen him for several cavitis that I didn't know I had and even though I was embarrassed Nicole and Dr. Dan made me at ease.
With the great flossing techniques and advice I've gotten from Dr. Dan I VOW THESE WILL BE MY LAST FILLINGS EVER!!!
I highly recommend his office!
