Read Reviews for Dr. Raisa Shekhtmeyster
We actually started coming to this office because my daughter and I had a bad experience at another dentist. She had never been afraid of the dentist and she was starting to be! She loves this office and dentist. She tells others that her brothers "share" her dentist

Family dental doctor for years. Starting with routine procedures - cleaning, fillings, root canals, extractions. Graduated to bridges - success. Partial denture - success. Constructed complicated non-removable bridge for damaged and unstable front teeth - cosmetic success.

I agree with other 2 reviews. Communication in office is very poor. There were too many errors in communication, so I did not return. Dentist doesn't say much which makes me nervous because I like to know what the dentist is doing! I had problems with schedualing: yes, they do make you come back on seperate days, I had an exam and they had me come back for cleaning (dentist will not do cleaning herself, and hygienist seems to only be there once/week!). I called once to confirm my appointment. They thought I cancelled so when I arrived for my appt they did not have me down! They said I cancelled! Also, I schedualed an appointment only to be told upon arrival that I could not be seen because my insurance would not cover it. Not true! Would not return.

Would never go back, I just wanted a cleaning but she insisted I come in for 2 visits (so she could bill for 2). Poor communication, I did not feel like she listened to what I was saying. Cleaning was not painful, but I felt that she was not thorough and was finished in 5 minutes.

Never going back. Poor communication, the feeling of being swindled while in the dentists chair, and the most painful fillings I've ever gotten.
Not only did the dentist not tell me what she was doing before, during or after treatment - she blatantly ignored me when I told her to only do the type of treatment that was covered by my insurance!!
"So you're just going to do the standard fillings, right? My insurance doesn't cover the white ones."
"No, I think white will be better."
"Right, but I can't afford to pay for anything that my insurance doesn't cover."
"No, white will be better."
::Sticks her hands in my mouth::
(To assistant:) "So we'll need the white then."
And I guess the worst part is: I went in for a toothache and she ended up filling two cavities. The toothache is still there (worse than before, because it's been untreated for so long) and now both of my filled teeth are sensitive to heat, cold, and uh food because she drilled too deep!
