dr martins does the basic insurance job.Some of work is good while others are very poor. She will do it all instead of sending you to a specialist who coulfd do a better job. Her judgement of when to send a patient to specialist is not in the best interest of the patient
About Hygienist: dr martins does all the cleanings which are basic insurance jobs .In the chair and out in a matter of 15 minutes

Dr. Martins is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I particulary liked that she explained what she was doing in everyday terms so that I would understand. I was very thrilled that she doesn't rush you out of her chair but takes the time to talk to you and gives you different options, explaining the long and short term effect of each treatment. I recommended her to both of my parents one of which has all of their own teeth and the other has prosthetics - she was well able to tend to needs of both. Given that my parents are older they tend to be a great deal more sensitive to pain, Dr. Martins took exceptional care with them. I also found that the processing of our (different) insurances was done carefully and correctly. Thankfully, Dr. Martins' office is located close to my home, but after searching for about 10 years for a dentist that I love - no matter where I move within New York, I will most certainly have Dr. Martins as my dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Martins as highly competent, capable and caring.
