Read Reviews for Dr. Harris Friedman
Dr. Friedman is pleasant enough and the office appears well-kept, but as a patient I'm confused with regard to his approach to treatment. I'm used to being informed prior to treatment: a description of the procedure(s), how many appointments, the cost, etc. Dr. Friedman treated one tooth for pain on my first visit. I assumed the second visit would be to follow up on that, but instead he started a root canal on another tooth that he believed to be more critical. I agreed, but now I have two teeth in progress, with no idea what work still needs to be done before they're "finished." I inquired with the front desk as to what my expected out-of-pocket expense would be, and they could not provide me with an immediate answer. In the meantime, the office submitted claims in excess of $3,800 have been submitted to my insurance company, including $600 in anesthesia I never received. I don't know if it's to secure pre-approval or not, but it's added to my confusion and anxiety. I've never been this confused about treatment before. He's mentioned another area he wants to work on, which will be completely out-of-pocket. All I can say is that I'll insist on finishing what's already in progress before starting any new work.
